Coordination behavior of sulfathiazole. Crystal structure of [Cu (sulfathiazole) (py)3Cl] superoxide dismutase activity

Abstract The preparation, spectroscopic, magnetic properties, and crystal structure of [Cu(stzxpy) 3 Cl] (stz − stands for the deprotonated form of sulfathiazole, 4-amino-N-2-thiazolylbencenosulfonamide) are reported. Crystals are orthorhombic, space group Pbca, with cell constants a = 15.834(2), b = 17.512(4), and c = 18.79(2) A, and Z = 8. The structure was solved and refined to R = 0.041 (R W = 0.040). The structure consists of mononuclear units linked via hydrogen bonds to form the tridimensional pyramid. The geometry of CuN3N*NCl chromophore is distorted square-pyramid. Preparation and physico-chemical study of inclusion complexes between idebenone and modified beta-cyclodextrins

The inclusion properties of modifiedβ-cyclodextrins (trimethyl-β-cyclodextrin, dimethyl-β-cyclodextrin and hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin) towards idebenone were compared with naturalβ-cyclodextrin. The inclusion complexes were prepared by different methods (coprecipitation, kneading, and freeze-drying) and characterized by differential scanning calorimetry, X-ray diffractometry, UV, CD and NMR spectroscopy. The results obtained by CD and NMR spectroscopy indicate a different orientation of idebenone in dimethyl-β-cyclodextrin with respect to other cyclodextrins. La santé constitue un domaine dans lequel les notions de bien commun ou de bien public mondial sont particulièrement pertinentes. Il faut cependant préciser de quels biens il est question. A titre d’exemple, le droit français comporte des notions susceptibles de qualifier le droit aux soins (comme droit inaliénable), ou le médicament, objet de propriété intellectuelle comme de propriété « traditionnelle ». Un droit international des biens de santé peut de la même manière être fondé sur un droit d’usage de chacun sur la molécule qui est la même dans le médicament générique et celui de marque.
